Use measurements before product assumptions
Measure each area separately and keep the units consistent. Add rooms or rectangles after calculating them. For an irregular shape, divide it into sensible smaller rectangles or ask the installer to measure it rather than treating a whole bounding box as finished area.
Choose the inputs with your professional
The concrete calculation converts the depth you enter from centimetres into metres. It does not select a structural depth, concrete mix, reinforcement or drainage design. For flooring, the area and allowance describe a purchasing scenario, not proof that the subfloor or product is suitable.
For paint, use the stated coverage for the selected product and the agreed number of coats. Surface condition, openings and application affect real use; this calculator cannot measure them. Enter pack size only when it uses the same unit as the calculated quantity.
Make quantities part of the quote
Ask who measures, orders, receives and stores the material, how surplus is treated and what happens if preparation changes the quantity. Compare product identity and scope alongside the total quantity. Keep delivery and disposal responsibilities clear.
Put your plan into practice
Look through relevant profiles and send the same project details to the professionals you contact.
